These valves further enable customers to fine-tune hydraulic flow rates and make it easier and more affordable to customize an SCV stack. The load-reactive steering valve uses hydraulic inputs from both the left and right steering cylinders. When pressures increase on one side (during a turn, for instance) the valve provides feedback to the steering wheel to help assist the steering wheel back to center.
On straightaways, Reactive Steering reduces hand movements by helping the operator to maintain a center line. During internal testing, hand movements are reduced by as much as 44 percent during straight line driving.
